MISSING GREEN
FOLK ROCK
MEET THE BAND
SANDRA
MCGREGOR
Songwriter/Vocals/Guitar
Sandra’s love for song writing was inspired by long family car rides singing traditional Scottish folk songs with her father. He was Sandra’s most significant influence and for her 16th birthday he bought her, her first guitar. Sandra writes songs that mirror and question the deeper concerns of our human nature-songs that tell stories. Her hope is that her songs will speak to as many people as possible and affect some small, but significant, change in the world. MISSING GREEN will be releasing their debut album “STANDING HERE” in December 2023.
BILL
FARR
LEAD GUITAR
Bill Farr is a self-taught musician. Playing guitar is his therapy. His goal is to serve the song through simplicity, by adding various sonic colours and textures.
DEBBIE
BISBEE
BASS GUITAR
Debbie’s passion for music drove her to learn instruments as an adult. Like a modern-day Goldilocks story, she began on drums, moved to guitar, and finally found a home on bass that’s “just right”. Debbie’s fierce determination and commitment resulted in performing opportunities with House of Gaga, and the collaborative development of The Boathouse Blues Project.
Debbie is an enthusiastic and positive member of the Missing Green family. She enjoys the collaborative spirit of the band and finds true joy in contributing to its creative process.
MARIO
MORO
DRUMS
Mario is a farmer, a mechanical genius, a collector and a proud descendent of Italian parents. He thinks, dreams and drums in Italian. His musical career began early, with a guitar, but at 12 he bought his first drum kit and he couldn’t stop drumming. He admires drummers like Neil Peart and Jerry Mercer, and bands like April Wine, ELO, Journey and Springsteen. Mario is passionate about music and we are proud to have him as the heart beat of MISSING GREEN.

Lizzie - Lyrics
Written By: Sandra McGregor
There’s no one out there, Lizzie, we’re on our own
You’ve got your prayers and I’ve got my cell phone
And when your heart is breaking and you’re searching for your God
He’s not where they say he is
He’s out walking his dog
I don’t read those holy books
And my neighbour doesn’t love me
But I’m here in the flesh
I know how it feels
and I believe you
You long for angels, they’re in disguise
They have wings that you don’t see with your eyes
Heaven and hell aren’t waiting, they’re already here
Come, take my hand my friend
I’ll pull you from fear
I don’t read those holy books
I don’t know if he loves me
But I’m here in the flesh
I know how it feels
and I believe you
If I had his number, I’d call him on my phone
I’d say, my friend Lizzie wants to know when you’ll be home
And if he doesn’t answer, I’ll take you by the hand
I may not have the answers
But I’ll try and understand
I don’t read those holy books
And my neighbour doesn’t love me
But I’m here in the flesh
I know how it feels
and I can hold you

Old Coat - Lyrics
Written By: Sandra McGregor
Where are you going?
With that old coat on
Do you want to ask me if you can stay a while?
How are you feeling?
Now that you’re leaving
I want to ask you if you can stay a while
You bought that coat
Well, it never suited you
but you never listen to advice
You do what you want to do
Where are you going?
With that old coat on
Do you want to ask me if you can stay a while?
The color’s faded
The threads are worn thin
and I can’t help but think that coat
describes the state we’re in
How are you feeling?
Now that you’re leaving
Do you want to ask me if you can stay a while?
Now I see the beauty
in the fabric faded warm
It’s the kind of think you hold on to
when you really should move on
How are you feeling?
Now that you’re leaving
I want to ask you if you can stay a while
Where are you going?
With that old coat on…
